الملخص
Background: Personal branding is a strategic approach to building a distinctive professional
identity for intern-nurses and enhancing their career aspirations and readiness for career
development and excellence in contemporary healthcare settings. The study aimed to assess
personal branding and career aspiration among intern-nurses: comparative study between
governmental and private hospitals. Study design: A descriptive comparative design was
utilized. Setting: This study was conducted at Benha university hospitals as the governmental
hospitals and private hospitals. Subjects: A simple random sample of intern-nurses consisted
of (282) out of (950) at Benha university hospitals and all the available (50) intern-nurses at
private hospitals. Tools of data collection: two tools were used: Tool (I) Personal Branding
Questionnaire, Tool (II) Career Aspiration Questionnaire. Results: The findings of the present
study revealed that the majority (92.0% & 80.5%) of intern-nurses had a high level of personal
branding at both private governmental hospitals respectively. Similarly, the majority (90.0%) of
intern-nurses at private hospitals had a high level of career aspiration compared to more than
three quarters (75.5%) of them at governmental hospitals. Conclusion: There was a highly
statistically significant positive correlation between personal branding and career aspiration
among intern-nurses at both governmental and private hospitals. Additionally personal branding
was a highly statistically significant positive predictor of total career aspiration among internnurses at both governmental and private hospitals. Recommendations: the faculty
administration should integrate personal branding concepts into undergraduate nursing
curriculum and internship preparation programs to strengthen intern-nurses' professional
identity and career development.
