Heavy metals stress is one of the major abiotic anxieties that cause environmental pollution and hence open-ended hazards to living organisms in recent eras. The current study was established with the goal in the mind to clarify the ameliorative role of seed presoaking in kinetin (30 ppm), calcium chloride (40 mm) and salicylic acid (0.1 mM) either separately or in alternate combination in offsetting the deteriorative effect of foliar application of nickel (0.5 mM) and/or lead (2.5mM) on the growth parameters and some metabolic activities of Phaseolus vulgaris L. plant variety Giza 6. Nickel and/or lead foliar application non-significantly reduced the shoot length, leaves number ,leaves area, fresh and dry weights of shoot and significantly reduced the membrane stability index, total pigments, ,soluble and insoluble sugars, total protein, total nitrogen, carbonic anhydrase, nitrate reductase, catalase, , potassium, calcium and magnesium contents. On the other hand, electrolyte leakage, proline, amino-N, SOD, POX, MDA, total phenols, nickel and lead contents were significantly increased as a comeback for heavy metal treatments. On contrary, seed presoaking in kinetin, calcium chloride and salicylic acid either separately or in alternate combination non-significantly increased the shoot length, leaves number, leaves area fresh and dry weights of shoot and significantly increased the membrane stability index, total pigments, soluble and insoluble sugars, amino nitrogen, total protein, total nitrogen, carbonic anhydrase, nitrate reductase, catalase, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents. Whereas, electrolyte leakage, proline, SOD, POX, MDA, total phenols, nickel and lead contents were significantly decreased by the same presoaking treatments. Kinetin, calcium chloride and/or salicylic acid combined treatments were found to be more effective in enhancing the plant tolerance towards nickel and/or lead venomousness. Also, nickel was found to be more injurious to bean growth than lead. The different presoaking and metal treatments markedly altered the protein profile of P. vulgaris via inducing the de novo synthesis of some protein bands and causing the disappearance of other bands
